Recently widowed Diane brings home her teenage son Steve after he is expelled by his institute due to violent behaviour. Although Steve is glad to be reunited with his mother, his unpredictable fits of anger jeopardise Diane's already precarious life and cast a dark spell on the bond the two have until Kyla, a shy neighbor, offers to help.
