After three years of operation, Cinema of the Dam'd is closing its doors. Tonight, on our anniversary, we commemorate Cinema of the Dam'd, with a free online double feature of films that we first showed on opening night.

Rubin (Crispin Glover) is an eccentric misfit, who ventures out of the house to bury his dead cat. Ed (Howard Hesseman) is a middle-aged loser and struggling salesman, trying to win back his ex-wife. When the two meet, a combative friendship forms. Rubin and Ed set out on a bizarre road trip that takes them deep into the Utah desert.

Tonight we present a double feature of classic film noirs about the perils of hitchhiking: Edgar G. Ulmer's Detour (1945) and Ida Lupino's The Hitch-Hiker (1953).
