In 1986, as protests erupt against South Korea's military dictatorship, two young women are found raped and murdered in the countryside. Park Doo-man (Song Kang-ho), an impulsive rural cop, teams up with Seo Tae-yoon, (Kim Sang-kyung), a big city detective, to find the country's first serial killer.
