In the summer of 1983, 17-year-old Elio joins his parents at their idyllic rural villa. When he meets Oliver, his father's handsome and cocky American intern, a furtive romance unfolds.

After meeting in the summer of 1964, shy and intelligent Sam, becomes passionate penpals with the equally eccentric Suzy. When Sam finds himself at Camp Ivanhoe, a summer wilderness camp on the island where Suzy lives, the two run away together. As a storm approaches, Sam's scoutmaster and Suzy's parents form a search party to find the young couple.

In 1958, shy Australian Sandy meets cocky American "greaser" Danny, and sparks fly, setting off a season of summer loving. When the school year begins at Rydell High, Danny discovers that they're classmates. Will the relationship survive the semester?
