Dr. Alex Harris invents Proteus IV, an artificially intelligent computer that he hopes will lead to medical and scientific breakthroughs. One day, Proteus becomes self aware and takes over the operating system of Harris' high tech house, imprisoning his estranged wife Susan inside. Susan soon discovers that the sinister supercomputer wants her to carry his "child" and is willing to kill anyone who gets in his way.
