Mother Dearest looks at the ways unexpected turns of motherly love have been caught on screen. Tonight's double feature offers two strikingly different takes on motherhood. Then, Pier Paolo Pasolini's hard-hitting classic Mamma Roma (1962) set in post-war Rome.
