The film touches upon many personal questions, such as identity and the challenge of adapting to new situations and surroundings. After the screening, we are proud to announce that the producer of the documentary, Marieke Van Der Velden, will come to have a discussion with the audience about the movie!

Come and join Amnesty International for an exclusive screening of Brexitannia, a sociological portrait of the United Kingdom after the Brexit vote of 2016. The documentary is a funny, sometimes terrifying, but non-judgmental look at the new populist politics sweeping Western democracies. The screening will be followed by a conversation with the director, Timothy George Kelly, and a journalist covering Brexit politics (TBD).

Throughout the history of Hollywood there have been many unmitigated disasters. One of the legendary tragedies was the 1996 attempt to remake THE ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU, based on the science fiction novel by H.G. Wells. Despite having a top level cast including Marlon Brando and Val Kilmer, and Richad Stanley one of the industry's most visionary new directors at the helm, the production was a disaster. Stanley (HARDWARE) worked on the script for 4 years only to end up getting fired 4 days into the shoot. Then, Hollywood brought in a different director (John Frankenheimer) but things only got wilder and weirder.
