While hunting in the desert, Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) stumbles upon a pile of dead bodies and a briefcase containing $2 million. Before long, he's pursued by Anton Chigurh (Javier Bardem), a sadistic hitman tasked with recovering the loot. Meanwhile, a weary local sheriff (Tommy Lee Jones) tries to prevent further carnage.
